The object of the Club shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and flower arranging; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds; and to promote and encourage civic beauty, conservation and environmental responsibility.
To Plant a Garden is to Believe in Tomorrow
In 1930, the Winchester Garden Club was established by a group of Winchester women, who were friends and loved gardening.
Active membership was limited to 40 Winchester residents, as it is today, so that meetings could be held in members’ homes.
Information about membership can be obtained from current members.
