Kingston Garden Club Kingston, Massachusetts
was organized in 1996 and federated in 1998 as a member of
The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc.
South Shore District, the New England Region Garden Clubs
and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Kingston Garden Club is to increase our knowledge of gardening, nature, horticultural and related interests. We are a learning and working club with related community commitments.
Membership Info
MEMBERSHIP - Membership is open to women and men interested in the promotion of all phases of gardening, horticulture, floral design, conservation, civic beautification and community service. All members are responsible for participating in the Annual Greens Sale, Annual Plant Sale, other fund-raising events, and civic beautification projects.
MEETINGS – Meetings are held locally from September through June.
Our meetings take place on the second Saturday of the month 9am-12pm at the Faunce School: 16 Green St, Kingston, MA unless otherwise noted.
Occasional field trips are scheduled each year as well.
DUES – Dues are $40.00 per year.
We invite you to become a member of the Kingston Garden Club.

10am-1pm Beal House
Annual Harvest Luncheon - Members bring a dish to share for al to enjoy. Update on activities planned Presentation – “Demystifying Bats in New England” Judy Macioci will present a slide-show to teach facts about bats and the role they play in our ecosystem.
October 11, 2025 Saturday
9am-12pm Faunce School
Pumpkin Floral Arrangement - Members are asked to bring a cut and cleaned pumpkin. Craft pumpkins are acceptable. Flowers, oasis and plastic inserts will be supplied. Sign up required.

Making Holiday Wreaths and Swags to Sell – Members will create decorated wreaths and swags to sell at our upcoming Holiday Greens Sale on November 22, 2025.

Fundraiser HOLIDAY GREENS SALE. Public invited. Members are asked to come at 9am to help set up and stay later to help clean up after sale.

Kissing Ball Demonstration by member Janice King, Gingerbread Cookie Decorating,
by member Debbie Cabral, Cookie Swap and Toy Drive.
Members bring 12+ cookies for a festive swap. Please donate a new, unwrapped toy.

Fundraiser FESTIVAL OF TREES. Public is invited as part of the Kingston Luminaries Celebration. Town Businesses, Clubs, Organizations and Individual families donate and decorate 4’ artificial Christmas Trees to raffle off. Members needed to help set up and clean up.

Regift Auction and House Plant Swap. Please bring a “re-gift” donation for the auction and a house plant to swap. This is a very successful and fun auction for members.

Presentation – “Awakening Your Garden for Spring.” Bob Hoxie will discuss how to use late Winter/early Spring to enhance your garden for the coming season.

Presentation – “Beyond Blooms: Creative Design with Color, Structure and Seasonal Senescence.”
Warren Leach from Tranquil Lake, focuses on designing gardens that offer visual interest beyond just flowering plants.

Library Hours, Kingston Public Library
“Books in Bloom” Members are invited to create a cut flower arrangement at home to display with their favorite book at the Kingston Public Library. Public is invited to the exhibit.

Presentation – “African Violets” Peg Crawford will present a slide-show about African Violets. Members will continue to the Kingston Public Library to view the “Books in Bloom” exhibit. All displays
Must be removed by 2pm Saturday.
May 9, 2026 Saturday
9am-12pm Faunce School
Fairy Garden/Terrarium Workshop by member Tina Leung and Lori Walsh. Learn how to create a Fairy Garden in your own container. Supply list will be available prior to workshop. Potting soil and landscape cloth will be provided.
May 16, 2026 Saturday
9am (set up)-1pm Faunce School
Fundraiser “ANNUAL PLANT SALE.” All members are expected to donate 5 plants purchased or from their own garden. Plant drop-off and set up is Friday, May 15 10:30-12:30. Volunteers needed to set up and clean up. Public invited to shop 10am-1pm.
June 6, 2026 Saturday
Club Field Trip
Mary May Binney Wakefield Arboretum, 1465 Brush Hill RD, Milton, MA
Members will carpool to the Wakefield Arboretum for a guided tour from 10am-11-30am.
