GCFM AWARDS
INTRODUCTION:
The GCFM awards program provides the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., New England Garden Clubs, and National Garden Clubs, Inc., an opportunity each year to express their support and appreciation for all club projects completed or in progress.

By recognizing our clubs, we aim to promote growth and stimulate our members to plan their programs and activities for the coming year in accordance with the mission of our organizations. Awards celebrate excellence and achievement among garden clubs and individual members.
There are several types of awards available to GCFM Member Clubs and Individuals:
-
Certificates of Merit for projects
-
Grant money for Civic Development and Historic Preservation
-
Grant money from NGC for sponsored projects
-
Educational Scholarships for GCFM Members and HS/College students
-
Youth Contests for children
The Awards Program has many benefits:
-
give well-deserved recognition to members, clubs, and districts for their hard work and dedication;
-
highlight the talents and creativity of our members;
-
add to a group's cohesion and pride;
-
give clubs credibility and visibility in the community;
-
attract new members with fresh ideas and talents, all of which serve to strengthen clubs within the community.

AWARDS OUTSIDE OF GCFM
The National Garden Club and New England Garden Clubs have awards; however, no individual, single member club, group of member clubs, Council, or Districts may make direct application to National Garden Club or New England Garden Club.

All applications must be submitted by your State Chairman and must include the appropriate Cover Sheet.

Please see the GCFM Awards Handbook for details about each award. State awards use the standard application.

There is a separate application for Civic & Historic Grants, the Cindora Goldberg Award and all Flower Show Awards (see below for those applications).
