PLANT-A-TREE

PLANT-A-TREE GOES ONLINE!
GCFM is announcing the launch of online printable Plant-A-Tree certificates, and a NEW DISTRICT CONTEST for the 2026-2027 season.
The new contest, “PLANT-A-TREE in EVERY DISTRICT” challenges clubs who have never before contributed to this worthy program to donate money and plant a tree in memory of, or in honor of, a garden club member. Reforestation is a vital process in restoring destroyed forests, providing soil protection and habitat for animals. The District(s) with the greatest percentage of participating clubs will receive a special award at the 2027 Annual Meeting.

NEW 2026/2027 CHALLENGE!

DOWNLOAD CERTIFICATES
We are calling on all clubs –
especially those who have never participated before – to rise to this challenge and collect money during your General Meetings. Take the spare change from the bottom of your handbags and turn it in to the Plant-A-Tree program. Donate money to this worthy cause.
We are looking for 100% participation by next June at our Annual Meeting Centennial Celebration. Even if you can’t raise $50 for a tree, your $5, $10 or $15 can still make a difference.
Your Garden Club can participate in a meaningful and practical conservation project by contributing $50.00 to a Plant-A-Tree plantation as part of the costs of planting replacement trees indigenous to a particular damaged area. You may designate a specific state you wish to have benefit from this contribution. Under a conservation agreement, the forest service will do the planting, using your donation together with federal funds, and will provide to the plantation the same protection from fires, insects, and disease given other forested areas.
The plantations are a part of the regular national forest reforestation program planted on burned-over and brush-covered areas which are potentially productive timberlands. Planting sites are selected by the supervisor of each national forest. These plantations provide soil protection, watershed protection, soil stabilization, future harvestable timber, as well as beauty and shade for recreation.
For each $50.00 contribution, you will receive a Plant-A-Tree Certificate from National Garden Clubs, Inc. Your Club’s contribution may be made in honor or in memory of ONE individual, organization, or theme. (Certificates will be issued according to information listed on the form below).
