About
ABOUT US

Mission: The mission of the Billerica Garden Club shall be to encourage flower/plant growing, home garden growing, home and garden improvement, town beautification, and aid in the protection of forests, wildflowers, and birds.

Member’s skills and knowledge of gardening varies from beginner to experts. Some members have belonged to the Club for over 25 years and others are brand new.

We all have one thing in common, we love to garden and learn. We share what we know with members and the community. Members receive the club’s monthly newsletter, The Town Gardener, with gardening information, horticultural articles, and club activities. Members also receive a 10% discount at Griggs Farm, the Salt Box Nursery, and O’Connor Hardware. Show your membership card to receive the discount.

Announcements & News

The Club’s biggest fundraiser is the Annual Plant Sale in May (scheduled the day before Mother’s Day). All members are asked to participate either by donating perennials grown in their garden for sale to the public, publicizing the sale, working at the sale, and helping dig and label plants. Many customers return each year to support the Club.

The Club is involved in town beautification projects and asks each member to commit to a minimum of 4 hours each year to this effort. After completion of 4 hours of volunteer work for the Club, members receive a Billerica Garden Club Apron to proudly wear when participating in Club projects.
