The Southborough Gardeners
was established in 1972 to educate and promote active
interest in gardening, horticulture, floral design, conservation,
and beautification of home and civic landscapes.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday
of the month at 9:30 a.m. and are held at either local venues or members’ homes. They include a business meeting
and program for the education of members and their guests.
At least two annual events are open to the public.

Southborough Gardeners Scholarship
The Southborough Gardeners have established a scholarship to be awarded to a student who has been accepted to a school of higher education or is presently attending college in one of the following fields: Art, Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture, Botany, Landscape Architecture/Design, or other related fields. To be eligible, the candidate must be a two year resident of Southborough and must demonstrate scholastic achievement and good citizenship. The amount of the award this year is $1,000. This may be divided between two qualified candidates at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Applications must be received by TBD. Applications are available online or at the Southborough Library.
The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts College Scholarships
The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts awards eleven scholarships annually. Only one application must be completed to be considered for all scholarships. Candidate must be a legal resident of Massachusetts for at least one year. Applications are due by March 1.
