Please join us at our Northern District Annual Meeting.
This years’ guest speaker is Bill Cullina, Director of Horticultural/Plant Curator for one of North America’s newest and most exciting public gardens, The Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay, ME. A well known author and recognized authority on North American native plants, former Nursery Director and Head Propagator for the New England Wild Flower Society, Bill developed the largest native plant nursery in New England with two sites that are currently producing 75,000 woody and herbaceous plants annually for gardens and restoration use.
Bill’s lecture is titled –
“Sugar, Sex and Poison ~ Shocking Plant Secrets Caught on Camera!”
After Bill’s talk we will break for Boutique Shopping, which will include Book-signing opportunities with Bill. There are some new vendors this year, as well! A buffet lunch will follow. The menu is as follows:

Awards and scholarships will be announced prior to the morning program and Bonni Asbjornson will be installed as your new District Director following the buffet luncheon.

Registration Cost is $38.00.

A Registration Form is attached. Guests are most welcomes to attend! Bill Cullina has a very large following of the Garden club word. So fee free to invite your friends who may enjoy meeting him and sharing a day of educational fun!
The Registration Deadline is April 7, 2011. However, we will not impose a Late Fee after the date. We want to encourage your attendance, rather than penalize it.

"Floral Interpretations”
At the upcoming Northern District Annual Meeting on April 14, 2011, being held at the Andover Country Club, we would like to showcase our District’s skills and creativity with flowers, through your participation in “Floral Interpretations”.
You will choose whatever art work inspires you; be it a picture, a vase, furniture, jewelry, pottery, etc. Your “Floral Interpretation” can be miniature, small, medium or large, your choice.
The Northern District will be raffling off the “Floral Interpretations”, so keep this in mind when choosing a container or if you do not want your container raffled off, make sure the floral arrangement can be removed as a unit.
THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE TOTALLY CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN WITH FLOWERS!!!!
